Privacy Policy

Function Hub ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of merchants and their customers. This policy explains what data we process on behalf of merchants, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Process

• Shop information: Shopify store URL, currency settings, and app configuration preferences.
• Product data: Product IDs, titles, and images for products enrolled in discount rules.
• Customer identifiers: Shopify customer GIDs and tags, used to evaluate eligibility for tag-targeted discounts at checkout. We do not process customer names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses.
• Discount usage data: Per-customer per-rule usage counts, used to enforce usage limits configured by the merchant.

How We Use This Data

• To configure and run discount functions at checkout.
• To evaluate customer-tag eligibility for targeted discounts.
• To enforce per-customer usage limits when configured.
• To provide merchants with discount performance analytics.

Data Storage and Security

Data is stored in PostgreSQL (Neon, AWS eu-west-2 region), encrypted at rest with AES-256. All connections use TLS 1.2+. Application hosting is provided by Fly.io. Both providers are SOC 2 Type II certified. We do not share, sell, or transfer data to any third party.

Data Retention and Deletion

When a merchant uninstalls Function Hub, all shop and customer data is deleted within 30 days. We honor Shopify's GDPR webhooks: customer-level deletion requests are processed within 30 days; shop-level redaction (48 hours after uninstall) removes any residual data.

Your Rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of any data we hold by contacting info@askmario.co.za.
